Plastic bottles are aplenty today. With three plastic bottles, a stiff straw and two flexi-tubes you can easily make the famous Heron's Fountain. Water from the top (cut) bottle enters the bottom bottle. Air from the bottom bottle enters the middle bottle (filled with water) and pushes water to the top (cut) bottle.
