Customer said the laptop turns on after few seconds. Sometimes green light comes on and other times no green light. Even with no green light laptop still powers on but shuts off after few seconds. NO orange light would comes on and laptop does not charge. Having all this information on hand, we first start by trying out a new battery and no luck. We check the current sense resistors, then smbus pullup resisters where battery communicates with the SMC. We then replace u7000 the ISL chip, we have a green light but still no no orange light, we replace q7030 and q7035 and finally we get a orange light which indicates that the laptop is now charging and the problem is fixed.
