The Thazaungdine Festival also known as the Festival of Lights is held on the Full Moon Dy of Thazaungmone, the eight months of Myanmar lunar calendar. It is a National holiday and celebrates all over Myanmar. It marks the end of the Kathina (Kahtein in Myanmar) season, during which monks are offered new robes and alms.
