According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health, a civilian and four law enforcement officers were injured during Thursday's raid. On Wednesday 52 people were injured during a first, failed attempt to arrest Atambayev. The former president issued a statement to the country and current authorities from his mansion in Koi-Tash after the attempt to detain him. "Do not shoot your own people. This is all going to end badly for you," he said to law enforcement members, adding that "We are not terrorists, neither me nor the civil people, who gathered near the house today." On Thursday morning Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held an emergency meeting with his Security Council after Wednesday's events. Atambayev's legal immunity as the former leader of the country was revoked by the Kyrgyz parliament in June, as he faces corruption charges.
