Micro Stirling Engine! - In this episode I'm trying to repair something mechanical instead of electrical. I bought a HOG Micro Motor Stirling Engine on eBay. It had two broken glass bulbs and some loose parts. Sometimes getting replacement parts is the most difficult part for me when repairing items like this - that and working on things I've never even seen before. #ebayrepairchallenge2019 HOG Stirling Motor Website: https://www.stirlingmotoren-haeussler.com/english/ Juergen Haeussler YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjNlpylIygn_nmnCFSy31XQ eBay Repair Challenge Participants: Steve from TronicsFix (me) Vince from My Mate Vince: https://youtu.be/MKZD5_EfYRc Elliot from The Retro Future: https://youtu.be/z5XjI2gV4RA Paul from Tampatec: https://youtu.be/PZNPLXeDwx0 eBay Repair Challenge Rules: 1) Whoever makes the most profit wins. 2) Item specifications: Week 1 - Electronic item manufactured before the year 2000 Week 2 - Mechanical item (clock/ automatic watch/ clockwork toy) - It can be a mix of mechanical and electric but must have moving parts. This engine works by using a flame to heat up the air inside two glass bulbs. Once the air is hot enough the motor will keep working after you get it started. Should be pretty cool!
