This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. 'With this year being the centenary of World War One, I thought now was a good time to share my story, and encourage an interest in History.' Alicia talks with infectious enthusiasm about her love for history and shares part of her own captivating family story. I’m an 18 year old student who has been at SWPS for seven years. I am half Spanish on my mother’s side and English on my father’s side, and I have been brought up with both sides of my family telling me the stories of our history. This has led me to develop a great interest for the subject I have fostered both at school and at home. With this year being the centenary of World War One, I thought now was a good time to share my story, and encourage an interest in History.
