Callaway is across the Bay from Tyndall Air Force Base. We were in the western eye for about 22 minutes. This is not a storm chaser video, it's a homeowner video. The feature-length version has an additional 13.5 minutes from Day Zero, landfall day... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThzWh46wDDk Michael is just the 4th Cat 5 landfall in US history and took less than 36hrs to grow from Cat 1. I have addressed my lack of preparations and the reason for it. Any further attacks which fail to understand these reasons will be removed. If I had the information in the following web page days in advance of landfall I would probably have evacuated. I relied on local media too heavily (in retrospect), and feel the alarm wasn't sounded early enough, nor loudly enough until too late to get out. Combined with reluctance due to our financial and transportation difficulties, resulted in riding it out. The rapid intensification before landfall was foreseen, according to this, but was not expressed by the media. Very informative page here...in particular go to the "Storm History" tab. https://www.weather.gov/tae/HurricaneMichael2018 You may notice there are no Ads on this video. The reason for this is that under YouTube's new policy, monetization is not allowed unless a channel has at least 1,000 subscribers, and until 4/14/2019 I didn't meet that requirement. Thanks for pushing me over the top! I'd appreciate more of a comfort zone, please subscribe. Now, it seems I have to wait a month or two to get reviewed. :-( "Channel under review You've reached 4,000 watch hours in the previous 12 months and 1,000 subscribers - nice job! Your channel is now being reviewed to make sure it complies with the YouTube Partner Program terms and our Community guidelines. We'll email you a decision, usually within a month or so.", signed YouTube. We had no electricity for 14-days, no internet for 58-days. Two months later, still no cable TV, nor landline telephone. Most of the trees have been destroyed and virtually all are damaged. Six houses in my immediate neighborhood were completely destroyed.
